Empowering Young Hearts and Minds

Explore Emotional Learning with Bagus Kids Foundation

Discover a world where children learn to handle emotions with confidence and grace.

Our Programs

Our programs feature curriculum for educators wanting to incorporate social emotional learning into their educational programs.

Introduction to Emotions

The program begins by introducing children to different emotions, such as happiness, sadness, anger, and fear. Through interactive activities, stories, and discussions, children learn to identify and label their emotions and recognize them in others.

Emotion Regulation Techniques

Children are taught various strategies for managing their emotions in healthy ways. These techniques may include deep breathing exercises, mindfulness practices, movement, guided imagery, progressive muscle relaxation, or positive self-talk. The program emphasizes the importance of self-regulation and coping skills in handling difficult emotions.

Empathy and Perspective-Taking

Children learn about empathy—the ability to understand and share the feelings of others—and practice perspective-taking exercises to see situations from different points of view. Through role-playing, storytelling, and group discussions, they develop empathy skills and learn to show kindness and compassion toward their peers.

Language and Communication Development

The program includes activities and exercises to promote language acquisition and communication skills. Children engage in conversations, storytelling, and role-playing exercises to express their emotions verbally and practice active listening. Vocabulary-building games, rhymes, and songs help expand their language repertoire and improve communication fluency.

Literacy Enrichment

Reading and literacy activities are integrated into the program to enhance children’s literacy skills while exploring emotions. Storybooks and picture books with feelings and social-emotional development themes are incorporated into the curriculum.  Children engage in shared reading experiences, discussing characters’ emotions, motivations, and actions, fostering comprehension and critical thinking skills.

Parent and Caregiver Involvement

The program encourages parental involvement and supports parents and caregivers to reinforce social-emotional learning at home. Workshops, newsletters, and family activities help parents understand the concepts taught in the program and apply them in everyday life.

A children’s social-emotional program focusing on feelings aims to empower young learners with the emotional intelligence and skills they need to thrive personally, socially, and academically. By promoting self-awareness, empathy, resilience, and healthy coping strategies, the program lays the foundation for lifelong emotional well-being and positive relationships.

Bagus Kids Foundation is dedicated to working with kids here at home and across the globe.

We are currently providing programs in Hawaii and soon in other locations.
